Dr. Jessica Lawson is a clinical psychologist, licensed in New York and Connecticut, and an assistant professor at Yale University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry. She received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University.

She specializes in health psychology and trauma-informed psychotherapy, with expertise in health behavior change, treatment for eating disorders and weight management, sleep, and stress management, as well as the provision of clinical services via telemental health modalities.

She is active in national and regional professional organizations and most recently served as the Early Career Representative on the board of the Connecticut Psychological Association. Dr. Lawson has over 25 peer reviewed publications and presents regularly at academic conferences as well as media platforms. She identifies as a clinician, an educator, and a scholar and is committed to continuing to provide evidence-based clinical care, publish scientific articles, teach, and train.

Jessica values the privilege and responsibility of being a clinical psychologist and believes that psychological health is integral to whole body or holistic well-being. She believes that client-centered, high-quality healthcare and mental health services should be accessible to everyone. She also highly values her family life and lives in Fairfield County, Connecticut with her husband, Nick, their two beautiful daughters, Violet (5), Grace (2) and three rescue kitties.

Jess loves dancing and staying active, all shades of the color purple, spending time with family and friends, and playing the piano and practicing speaking French in her spare time. She believes in the power of the village, the power of connecting with each other and with our values, and the importance of infusing laughter and love in every way she can into her own journey.
